Subject: Covering seminar for Wingnuts

Tony:

I am sending you the attached letter for your files and for use as a reference for other EAA Chapters considering a covering seminar. Feel free to give out my number and to forward the letter to Poly-Fiber if that is of assistance to you in securing additional students.

We had a great time and learned a hell of a lot to boot. You have earned the friendship and respect of a whole bunch of new students.

Best wishes to you and to your wife. By the way, which one of you does a better job covering aircraft? Maybe you better not answer.

Mike

“Wingnuts”

Dear Tony:

I wanted to be sure to write to express the appreciation of EAA Chapter 1415 for the very informative and instructional weekend Poly-Fiber covering seminar you conducted at the Mathis airport on May 6th and 7th. The eight participants enjoyed the class and feel confident in being able to cover the RANS S6 projects we are undertaking.

The cost of the class, which I budgeted to be $250 per attendee, was almost on the button. With eight participants we covered your cost of tuition and travel and the raw components needed to conduct the class. We did run over budget by $250 but that was because I chose to purchase gallon quantities of the Poly-Fiber products instead of quarts. The remaining product will go a long way toward covering the projects so no money was wasted; to the contrary, we saved money by hiring you to come out to give the seminar.

The cost of similar seminars is about $300, not including travel expenses, and you do not get to work on the parts for your own aircraft. By hiring your services we were able to save about $100 per person and we worked on our specific parts, which was very helpful.

We hope to see you again when you pass through the Atlanta region. We may very well hire your services to assist in covering the fuselage and wings of various projects. Your expertise in and knowledge of the covering process was evident and helped us to select Poly-Fiber as the covering process of choice for our aircraft.

Thank you again for your excellent seminar.

Cordially
