The Course
We go through the whole process, from bare metal to airworthy,
ready-to-install parts in one weekend. Or I can stay longer
and we can cover your whole fuselage. Or you get the idea!
The Instructor
I am an A&P, factory certified in Poly-Fiber (Stits)
and dope processes. I have taught numerous fabric re-covering
workshops. I am restoring another L-16 and also do fabric work
for others in my shop in Maryland. Vistors are always welcome
but if you fly in be warned the runway is short!
Getting Started
I provide all tools, materials, practice parts, and knowledge.
You provide a place to sleep or a place to park a small tent
camper and pay for time, meals, and expenses. Get other folks
together for a fabric work weekend and reduce your costs. Or
come to my place on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
Food for Thought
Like to get your airplane in the air sooner? Have me cover
your fabric parts while you are working on other pieces. If
you haven't picked up your project yet, you can rent my aircraft
project recovery trailer to do so. Or we both go get it, then
you do the fuselage and I do the wings and tailfeathers.
Dont need tailwheel
or fabric skills?? Tell a friend who does! This training
is hard to find.
