I have been completely crazy about
hunting ducks since I was old enough to go. As a kid in the 40's
my dad would give me two shells for an old single shot 20 GA shotgun and
tell me to go get supper. I most always could. Wild duck being my
choice if possible. I have never lost the feeling that I got when
Mom and Dad's face would light up at what I had gotten for supper.
I'm glad they made a big thing of it.
I have done many things in my lifetime.
--Coast Guard after school
--Then college, on GI bill, thought
I would teach, but just was not cost effective, had 3 kids all girls, hell
even the cat was female.
--Sold Insurance for Met Life for about
five years.
--Then found I could make good money
as a waterman harvesting seafood, bought a boat and went to work for myself.
--Found that buying and selling could
make me more money, so I started a seafood business "Taylor's Island Seafood",
oysters and crabs.
--From about age 20 to 40 I was 6 foot
and 210 lb., smart enough and strong enough to do most anything I wanted,
then I fell over with a heart attack and lost the bottom third, boy does
that ever slow you down.
--Went too taking waterfowl hunting
parties after having open heart, Dr. said I shouldn't, but I was not dead
yet.
--Now I have had two open hearts and
three angina pasties, HAD ENOUGH, just want to hunt and fish till I die,
hope I die in a duck blind, no hurry.
Well, that gives you and idea of where
I am coming from. Know where I am going, love God and know he loves
me, but I will not preach to you. Hope this helps you understand
my email and posts a little better. Guess I have told you more then
you want to know. Donald
