Graphics in the Web

HTML Tips for Graphic Designers is a great source for one talented man's tips, and some nifty small resources that seem to work well with Netscape and AOL's browser, if they load... Of course, setting up a similar local directory (a resource folder in the same folder as his source) makes local viewing possible. Another great example of just what can be done tweak-wise.
Transparent Images walks you through the process of using this basic graphic device of webspinning.
HTML Image Tips gives some sound advice regarding usable graphics and reducing band-width.
Bullets has bullets and *long* bars of various design.
The Icon Browser
Daniel's Icon Archive: a list of links to icon and graphics collections for using in web documents.
WebStars: Astrophysics in Cyberspace is a cool image map implementation.
Xerox PARC Map Viewer will draw you a map of anywhere, on the fly.
XEarth Image Maker will draw you a picture of the earth from any point in space, on the fly.
Interactive Graphics Renderer will draw lots of great stuff for you, like the bullets in this page. All made to order, on the fly.
Persistence of Vision Raytracer is yet another picture machine.
Imaging Machine has filters, indexing, manipulation of images...
