Rita was born, Hana Moritaka, at the Ares Tokyo Hospital facilities in 2024 to Japanese- American parents. She stands 1.7 meters (5'7") tall and weighs 80 kilos (with cyberware). Her hair is ash-black and cut short. Her cybered eyes are hazel, but look natural. Regardless of UGE, the evidence of her oriental heritage is still present (if not enhanced) in her almond-shaped eyes, prominent cheekbones, and her lack-of height -- Rita is short for a "western" elf. Her birth name means "forest canopy flower." But hana also translates as, "nose" (and Rita had a rather large one when she was little). So she called herself by the middle sounds from her last name, which mean "many profits" or "lucky."

"At the New Year's Charity Gala"
At age twelve, she underwent an unprecedented form of UGE, transforming into Homo Nobilis. Luckily, after the change, her parents were able to transfer to Ares Arms' Seattle division (as metatypes are widely considered sub-humans & deviants in modern Japanese culture). A year later her mother, a Military Advisor (pronounced, "Black Ops"), was officially listed as "missing-presumed-dead." Diverting her anger inward, Rita began perfecting her athletic abilities at the Ares Seattle Sports Complex, eventually becoming its Fitness Director by the age of ninteen. Unfortunately, this was the same year that her father, also an Ares Arms Military Advisor, was listed as "missing."

Taking her inheritance (minus the corp's cut), Rita moved to Ares' corporate headquarters in Detriot and appealed to Raymond Steiner, the Ares Brawl Team franchise's owner. Surprisingly, he accepted her application and she was granted access to one of Ares' alpha-grade "body shops" in Detroit. As an Ares Predator, she became a media fav and quickly rose to the position of first-string outrider. At the same time she lept full-force onto the cyberware express, continually using her wages to upgrade her cyber-systems. Perhapse due to her Japanese upbringing, she has chosen only natural-looking cyberware, whenever possible. The obvious exceptions are her hydraulic jacks, which earned her the nickname, "Ricochet Rita," (although in public she normally conceals them within leather, thigh-hi boots).

In 2046, she was additionally recruited into Ares Arms' unofficial Black Operations division by Guido Cantarelli, personally. Here, she learned about her parents' true occupations and began leading a double life (as Ricochet Rita, Razorgal). Keeping a secondary residence back in Seattle, she was assigned to work exclusively for Bryce Harlton, the (then) Assistant Director of Operations for Ares Arms, Seattle.

Her rising stardom and frequent "visits" to Seattle led her to a strange union with a run-down sports bar called, the Big Knobi Klub--the only non-Ares thing in her life. After one particularly nasty corp 'run in 2048, Rita used her "bonus money" to quietly purchased half-interest in the Klub and began leading a triple life (affectionalely known as, Ricochet Rita, Restauranteur). In 2050, following a morality dispute with Bryce (after which he had her barred-for-life from professional Brawl), Rita severed her ties with Ares and formed the freelanced, shadowrunner team, the Outcasts.
