Taking her inheritance (minus the corp's cut), Rita moved to Ares' corporate headquarters in Detriot and appealed to Raymond Steiner, the Ares Brawl Team franchise's owner. Surprisingly, he accepted her application and she was granted access to one of Ares' alpha-grade "body shops" in Detroit. As an Ares Predator, she became a media fav and quickly rose to the position of first-string outrider. At the same time she lept full-force onto the cyberware express, continually using her wages to upgrade her cyber-systems. Perhapse due to her Japanese upbringing, she has chosen only natural-looking cyberware, whenever possible. The obvious exceptions are her hydraulic jacks, which earned her the nickname, "Ricochet Rita," (although in public she normally conceals them within leather, thigh-hi boots).
In 2046, she was additionally recruited into Ares Arms' unofficial Black Operations division by Guido Cantarelli, personally. Here, she learned about her parents' true occupations and began leading a double life (as Ricochet Rita, Razorgal). Keeping a secondary residence back in Seattle, she was assigned to work exclusively for Bryce Harlton, the (then) Assistant Director of Operations for Ares Arms, Seattle.
| Her rising stardom and frequent "visits" to Seattle led her to a strange union with a run-down sports bar called, the Big Knobi Klub--the only non-Ares thing in her life. After one particularly nasty corp 'run in 2048, Rita used her "bonus money" to quietly purchased half-interest in the Klub and began leading a triple life (affectionalely known as, Ricochet Rita, Restauranteur). In 2050, following a morality dispute with Bryce (after which he had her barred-for-life from professional Brawl), Rita severed her ties with Ares and formed the freelanced, shadowrunner team, the Outcasts. |
