What's on the Horizon for Upper Shore Aging, Inc. in 1998?
The Agency is actively exploring the potential management of a number of new and innovative programs that will benefit the elderly persons we serve. Recently, USA contracted to administer an Older Workers Training Program with the Upper Shore Private Industry Council.
Our agency operates a large rural transportation program (USTAR). In 1998, we hope to be a major stakeholder in the "Welfare to Work" movement in our service area by developing a program to transport new workers to places of employment. Any benefits we realize through our involvement in this initiative will allow us to improve the quality of transportation service given our elderly and disabled clients. We are also developing an innovative professional driver training program that will better allow us to meet our own staffing needs and to generate qualified commercial drivers for other employers, once again in conjunction with Upper Shore Private Industry Council.
Upper Shore Aging, Inc. will be fighting hard in 1998 to obtain more funding from all sources to better serve the needs of its elderly clients.
