Little Blackwater River
Little Blackwater River runs through Bucktown and connects
with larger waters at the Blackwater national Wildlife Refuge. These marshland
waters provided hideaways and escape routes for fugitive slaves. The refuge
is now the seasonal home for Canadian geese, ducks and several endangered
species.
