Queen Anne's County Arts Council presents:

Who We Are...

What is...

The QACAC was founded in 1977 by a group of concerned citizens who wanted to bring art and cultural events to Queen Anne's County. Its mission and purpose is to promote, expand and sustain the arts in Queen Anne's County. The Arts Council is composed of a Board of Directors who are volunteers, each serving a term of two years. Daily operations are managed by the Executive Director. Funding for the QACAC comes primarily from the following sources:

  • Maryland State Arts Council
  • QAC Commissioners
  • Town of Centreville
  • Fund-raising events
  • Memberships
  • Private donations
  • Grants

The Arts Council building is used for performances, educational activities, and receptions. The space is also available to other organizations for meetings and events. The Arts Council building is located at 206 South Commerce Street in Centreville.

What are the major activities...

In accordance with its mission of promoting, expanding and sustaining the arts, the QACAC has developed a variety of initiatives including:

  • Approximately 20% of our budget supports the arts through grant awards to county organizations, associations, and schools
