BALLET -- The Academy Ballet School Featuring The Royal Academy of Dancing Syllabus (R.A.D.), London, England ("http://www.r.a.d.org.uk")

The Children's Progressive Classical Ballet Syllabus, directed and taught by Eileen Razzetti , who is registered with the Royal Academy of Dancing, London, England, follows the R.A.D. carefully graded syllabus from pre-primary though grade 8. The classes follow the R.A.D. Children's and Major Syllabus, and offer optional examinations conducted by the Academy in forty countries throughout the world. Students are given special encouragement and attention to guide them through the carefully graded syllabus with the correct physical approach to classical ballet. R.A.D. Pre-Primary A Beginning I  (Ages 3½ - 5)

A pre-ballet dance class stressing simple correct ballet technique and movement. Very appropriate for the attention span of a young child. Involves creative movement, mime, and response to music. Prerequisite course work: None.

R.A.D. Primary A Beginning II  (Ages 6+)

A beginning ballet class for the young child stressing simple correct ballet technique and movement for the young child. A real ballet dance is taught for the spring recital class.

R.A.D. Grade I - Beginning III  (Ages 7+)

A natural progression from the primary levels with emphasis on correct placement and technique. Exercises at the barre are introduced along with character dance and free movement.

$230 members    $250 non-members
Dress: Blue R.A.D. leotard, pink Prima tights, pink ballet shoes, character shoes and character skirt. (Character skirt available through Mrs. Razzetti). Available at Dance Supply, 410-647-8727 (mail order available).
