The Neild Museum, dedicated in 1981, houses a broad spectrum of items illustrating industrial and agricultural life in Dorchester County from pre-colonial times to the recent past. There is a large collection of Native American artifacts, many agricultural and domestic implements, and tools and equipment used in the various maritime industries, such as crabbing and oystermg. One of the many interesting objects is an original McCormick Reaper, circa 1831, which was once used to harvest grain on a Dorchester farm.
