Summer is half over already and the tourists are still here. We even had one come to a meeting in June. Frank Gigilo belongs to one of the Kiwanis Clubs in Williamsburg, Virginia. However, he is not actually a tourist, he has owned a home here on the island for many years. It was his first visit to our club. While talking, he had some interesting things to say about his club in Williamsburg and has agreed to share them with us on August 21st. We urge you to come out and hear what he has to say.
Because of the resignation of President-elect Ken Parker, Bill Fallon was elected to be President-elect and will serve as our President for another year. Otto Pehle was elected to serve as past-President for the up coming year.
We welcome four new members into our club:
Ken Shreves, Everette Lewis, Joe Nace and what I believe is the oldest member to be inducted into our club and most likely Kiwanis International – Lloyd (Woose) Read.
The raffle ticket sales for the lawn mower are doing very well. Please do not forget your scheduled time to be at the carnival grounds booth to sell tickets.
There will be a meeting at the Refuge Motor Inn conference room on Tuesday, July 22nd , 7:00PM for anyone wanting to help with the Telephone Book sales and distribution.
We would like to send out best wishes to Captain Black who is in poor health.

The Kiwanis Club of Chincoteague meets ever Thursday evening at 6:30pm at Don's Seafood Restaurant 4113 Main Street Chincoteague Island, VA.
The Club is a member of the Kiwanis Capital District.
