Grant Request:

 

            Class Act, Inc. requests a grant in the amount of $ 250,000 and this will be for programs that will be offered for the remainder of the year 2000 and 2001.  Class Act, Inc. does have revenue producing activities which are used to fund most of its activities but it desires to expand its current programs and develop new programs; these programs are listed in the description of services section and quantified in the financial statement.

To Train, teach and inspire the youth of our community to work diligently, move toward not knowing the meaning of quit and to obtain  their goals in life so that one day what our youth have reaped is a reflection of what was sewn years before.

Nine years in the development, management and problem resolution of a youth recreational center in the State of Delaware.  Also, experience in the security of casinos, factories and local business establishments was gained during the nine years of youth center management.

                Through creative sales scripts and sales leads which were provided by the marketing department potential and current customers were called.  A numerous amount of products was presented to them.  For a period of three months I assisted the computer specialist in preparing statistical analysis proposals on the Dover Telemarketing Site.

                Responsible for the Engineering Applications for the corporation to include Electric and GAS Delivery.  I work on application interfaces of the legacy applications with the client/server application.  A thorough knowledge of UNIX, TCP/IP as well as the legacy application system platform is critical and necessary.  Along with this responsibility, daily monitoring of application and system reports have to be analyzed.  I am also instrumental in the migration of the Electric NATURAL/ADABAS Engineering Application to a GIS Implementation.  In this endeavor, I am required to develop conversion programs, batch and online job control procedures as well as conversion documentation.

Application Specialist

                Responsible for the Public School Information System, the State Treasury and Banking Transfer System and the Division of Revenue Accounting System.  I had to monitor the daily processing of the above listed critical applications which included being on-call to resolve problems that may occur in the non-primetime hours of operation.  Test plans, user and program documentation, as well as status reports needed to be developed for upper management and my fellow application specialists.  I was required to communicate necessary technical changes to the end users in a way that they would understand.  A thorough knowledge of Natural/ADABAS, COBOL, OS/MVS JCL and TCP/IP was very critical in my application assignments.

I was further responsible, as an adjunct responsibility, for the maintenance of a portion of Application Development Staff Intranet and Internet Website.  My website maintenance responsibility required a knowledge and use of HTML, Java, Visual Basic as well as HTTP and FTP Protocols.

Application Specialist

 

Responsible for the development, testing, implementation and re-design of a Sales Tracking System for a Pharmaceutical Company.  I needed to thoroughly understand the backend report distribution system, which I was responsible for maintaining and enhancing.  An additional requirement was to understand the Sales Force Laptop Front end Software System.  Status reports to management and the end user were required on a weekly basis.  I needed to develop a comprehensive user document and program system flow using ABC Flow Charter.  Further software tools that were needed while on this assignment were Natural/ADABAS, OS/MVS JCL, COBOL and the Microsoft line of software products to include Word and Excel.

Application Specialist

 

Responsible for the development, testing, re-design and final implementation of the Delaware Financial Management System Fixed Asset System.  To accomplish this task, communication with management and the end user, which was the Department of Finance, was extremely necessary.  The following tools were necessary  to accomplish this assignment:  Natural/ADABAS, COBOL, AMS Core Software, OS/MVS JCL and Project Estimation Tools.  Weekly status and time reports were required and the Word Star Software Package was used to accomplish the project administration part of this task.

Responsible for the development and testing of the Table Maintenance Sub System of the Standardized Accounting and Budgeting Recording System (SABRES).  I had to develop test plans, coordinate file changes with the DBA, prepare work assignments for Associate Engineers and develop status reports for the System Manager.  To accomplish this assignment, it was vital to understand Natural/ADABAS, OS/MVS JCL and the program flow of a Military and Civilian Accounting System.
