This Week at the Village ------------------

It's been an interesting week, as winter finally seems to be giving way to spring, and one pure hell of a winter it was, too.
But we have faith, and often when we are nearly out of it, something happens to bring it back again. This week, it was Daily Times columnist John Bozman, whose kind words about our efforts here at the Shore Journal gave us much-needed encouragement after a the long, hard winter and the toll it has taken on us and on our friends.

Boz has been around for a long time, and he's read a lot of writers. Those who read him know he's not afraid to take on the City, or the County, or to call a spade a spade. According to him, we're doing what we're supposed to be doing, and that's good enough for us. Thank you, Mr. Bozman, for the encouragement.
There were interesting moments this week, as well, in which our old and trusty banjo found its way back home, thanks to Carl Dragwa, who supervises computing for our local school system.
Something about the village suits the banjo, or vice-versa, and since every village needs an idiot, and every idiot needs something to do with their hands, it was a perfect match.

So, besides all the great computers and peripheral equipment, all the software, the direct internet connection, there is yet another reason to come to the village:
We're pickin' and we're grinnin'. We're fighting the net-wars and we're winnin'. It's just the happening place to be. (Major and Minor keys available by request.)
(Oh, in case you didn't know... the Village is located in Salisbury, Maryland on business Route 13, about a mile south of Salisbury State College. Come see us.)
