One of the best things that has happened to us in many years is Patricia Weeg, whose selfless dedication to bringing children to the internet and vice-versa is a constant inspiration.
For several months now, we have lobbied on her behalf, begging computers and modems from anyone who would listen, and assisting her in any way possible.
People have done what they could, and quite a collection of computers have been gathered, each and every one greatly appreciated by Sister Mary Internet and her enthusiastic children.
But one thing has evaded them, all this time, and it continues to be an impediment to their progress: in spite of all their accomplishments, they STILL do not have in their hands a computer that can run Netscape, or any graphical browser, for that matter.
But that's about to change, thanks to the help of some local businessmen. We will let her tell you about it, go to the Global Classroom and look for "Delmar Students Give Thanks" on the front page there. Spend some time there, if you haven't. It is one thing to talk about internet education. It is something else again to do it.
