Oppornockity Only Tunes Once
Boy, ain't THAT the truth ?

There's a lot to say, so we'll get right to it. It has to do with an old violin-maker from Rotterdam named Oppornockity, and a lesson we learned from him.

The reason his violins were so valuable, (and they were) is that you only had to tune them once.

And so it is with our live-cam, dear friends, and the oppornockity spirit shown by the brilliant young folks
like Geert Meerklebach and Glenn Juskiewicz (more or less shown here in one of the earlier images from the live-cam,) and Tony Weeg, whose page-design work is a joy to behold.

(It is worth reminding longtime SJ readers that the other person in the photograph above hails from one of those places where having one's picture taken can cost you your soul.)

Fortunately for us, Geert hails from Holland, where the only stealing going on is of bicycles, and no one really cares a whole lot about that.

What these boys are stealing now, ladies and gentlemen, is the show.

This is important, folks, so let's try and pay attention, ok ? THIS IS THE FIRST LIVE WEBCAM ON DELMARVA. PERIOD. WE'VE LOOKED. THIS IS IT.

That is important because it's a major step, and like all the other major steps the web has taken on Delmarva,
this one was accomplished by people whose electronic names end in "shore.intercom.net". This development (forgive the pun) is part of what is becoming a tradition, folks, and it sure is fun to watch.

It will be a whole lot easier to watch now, minute by minute, as Meshach and the rest of us here at the Shore Journal poke our new little eyeball into this and that and say... "My, isn't THAT interesting ?" Stay tuned.
