- Think about what your position or stand is on the topic or subject.
- Think about your reasons for that position or stand.
- Think about the stand or position of your reader.
- Think about logic, details and examples, you can use to make your position
clear and convincing to your reader; you might consider using facts,
statistics, testimony or experts, reasons or causes, analogy or comparison,
or personal experiences.
- Think about how your will organize your reasons to convince your reader.
- Think about your conclusion; you might use an imaginative restatement of
your position or an appeal for specific action or rethinking.
