*1 Barbara (Buchholz) Cooper believes that they were married in Ireland and come together to the USA. Sean McHugh has researched the passenger lists and has not found a couple with their names only single people. The author found in Newark, NJ a marriage certificate dated 10/11/1854 with their names, which listed Edward Maloney's parents as John & Mary.

*2 Margaret (Buchholz) Richardson provided this information from memory, before her death..

*3 Three of the four Maloney brothers died working on the railroad. The forth brother worked on Street Cars.

*4 1880 Cuyahoga County, OH census shows Margaret (as age 42), Daniel, Mathew, Mary, Mike, Ida (should be "Ed"), Kate (as age 7 but she was age 9!), and Delia. Census data has been known to be not completely accurate, as an understatement.

*5 Line extinct according to Sean McHugh.
