Race #3 in the Triple Crown Paddle Classic is an eight mile power paddle, taking place on the Pocomoke River in Pocomoke, Maryland. This event takes place in conjunction with Pocomoke City's Cypress Festival. An annual event enjoyed by thousands each year. Registration for this event begins promptly at 8 AM and continues until 8:45 AM.

The early entry fee is $10 per paddler. Entry form envelope must be postmarked no later than Friday, June 6, 1997. The late entry fee for all registration forms received between June 7 - 14, 1997 is $15 per paddler.
